MOBILE APP DESIGN

When the first iPhone appeared back in 2007, mobile apps weren't really anything more than simple widgets. We were paying attention to the change and started to design first "real" mobile apps in 2008, when the App Store launched. We are a design partner for Norbsoft - one of the biggest mobile developers in Central Europe.

We design for all major mobile platforms - iOS, Android and Windows Phone. We have designed projects for Blackberry, Symbian and Web Apps. We know all of the platforms, how they differ and what they have in common. With that knowledge we're able to design beautiful, functional and user friendly mobile solutions.

We design using vector shapes, with layer names in the platform specific convention. We know both ic_menu and @3x. We always optimize the assets before delivery (removing EXIF's, colour profiles and compression) so the app can be smaller and faster. All files are delivered inside specified folders (drawable_) so they are ready to code in.

We create icon fonts for all the in-app icons which helps with delivering super-sharp icons in all the resolution. The last step is a detailed visual specification for developers. It contains all the font sizes, colours used, margins, paddings and element relations. This in turn makes the project consistent and beautiful.
